Exposure to these environment often been accompanied by anxiety and so will affect on the students performance and learning abilities. Several studies have been conducted in different regions of Iran, and it is necessary to review these results and discuss on this topic. In this review, mental health, students and Iran keywords were searched in the SID, Magiran, Iranmedex and Pubmed databases. Thirty-three and fifty-five articles were found in English and Persian languages, respectively. Finally 9 Persian articles and 3 English articles were measured with using the GHQ-28 and then they were reviewed. Results of these studies conducted in Iran by using the GHQ-28 questionnaire have been indicate prevalence of psychiatric disorders in university students were 22.7 Percent to 52.3 Percent. Although in one study psychiatric disorders in boys was higher than girls, but in other studies, not only did not reported any gender difference but also in some of them the rate was higher in girls.
