Many of the issues in health services system have a social, cultural and economic nature. Accordingly, most vulnerability, invulnerability diseases, and various types of disorders in the individual are affected by these factors. In this regard, this study was conducted to review social determinants of health researches. The study was a narrative overview was conducted using the research with key words (social determinants of health, health inequality) in credible databases (IranMedex, SID, Magiran). Data was extracted using checklist in literatures. Based on literature review in social determinants of health, the titles of results include 4 subjects: A) The concept of social determinants of health and development of a conceptual model, B) Inequalities in health, C) health and income D) Review of the health system based on the social determinants of health Classified and shown. Regarding the role of  social determinants of health, development of related research, requires discourse, explaining a conceptual model appropriate to the social and cultural conditions of the country, design of the valid data collection tools, Targeting , deepen and participation of specialists from  the other relevant fields along with health professionals.
