With the rapid growth of health and medical sciences, the use of methods to achieve goals is an indispensable necessity. Educational quality management is an efficient approach to the productivity of medical universities. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the approach to improving educational quality management. In this review study, the Persian and English articles in the databases of Google Scholar, ProQuest Elsevier, Pubmed, ISI, Iran Medex, Scopus, 1990–2018 were used. Articles were searched using the keywords of Persian and English articles based on the keywords; Organizational Excellence, Innovative, Medical Education Organizational Excellence. The search resulted in 156 articles, out of 121 articles after title and abstract screening, 45 articles after study abstract and 47 articles after full text review were excluded and finally, 29 articles met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that various factors such as environmental, human, social, economic and other factors affect on the quality of education. To control the factors, proper management should be used and managers' ability to achieve academic goals and optimal management is a necessity.
